How it works

Attorn answers employment-law questions the way a good adviser would: directly, in plain language, and honest about uncertainty.

  1. Ask in your own words

Type a question the way you would ask a colleague. No legal vocabulary needed — 'can I cut his salary if he's on sick more than usual' is a fine question.

  2. Get an answer you can act on

The answer leads with what you actually need to do, then covers the detail that matters. Serious situations are flagged rather than glossed over.

  3. Follow up without repeating yourself

The conversation carries its own context, so a follow-up like 'and if he refuses?' is understood against what came before.

What it is not

Attorn is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice. It covers employment law, not tax, immigration or company law. Anything with real consequences behind it — unfair dismissal, discrimination, health and safety, settlement agreements — is worth taking proper advice on, and the assistant will tell you so.
